Skype with Grandma & Grandpa

Perhaps the best part of having parents on a mission is that there are no limits to how often we can communicate with them.  Yay!  (Unlike when young elders and sisters serve.)  The hardest part about talking to my parents is figuring out the time difference.  Today is tomorrow in Japan, which makes it a little tricky.  But, never fail, we will figure it out! 

Last Friday, we were able to Skype with my mom and dad after getting home from a ward activity.  Therefore, my kids were loaded with sugar and up way past their bed time.  They were also very excited to be able to see Grandma and Grandpa, as well as themselves on the screen.  Skyler especially could hardly keep himself from getting "up close and personal" to see himself.  It was hilarious.  Here are a few pictures my dad sent me that he took while we were talking.

We miss you so much, mom and dad!  We're so thankful technology still allows us to see them despite their being half way around the world.  They are doing awesome and loving every minute of it!  My dad has survived driving in Japan, and my mom is trying to make do in church without a translator!  You're both amazing!  They both bore their testimonies in Sacrament meeting, all in Japanese, and are working away at adjusting to their responsibilities as the Office Couple.  They are so lucky to have you!
