Right before leaving on our family vacation, we had a surprise party for Kyle's dad. Growing up, it was very hard for anyone in Kyle's family to surprise their dad with anything, so having this party be a total surprise to Grandpa made it all the more fun.
We met at Logan & Shayla's community room at their apartment in Downtown Portland. Kyle's sister, Christine, flew in from Utah to be there. Kyle's Grandpa Allen Pearson (his mom's dad) had also just moved to Oregon a few days earlier, so it was wonderful to see him again. And cousin Eric was able to join us as well. We had to grill steaks in order to make the evening complete for his dad, so we had a delicious dinner then cake and ice cream, presents, and lots of fun talking and laughing.
