Spencer and T-Ball

It seems like eons ago, but this Spring Spencer played his first season of t-ball.  He wasn't too excited at first, but he ended up really enjoying it.  He had a great (low-stress) coach who really wanted the boys to do their best and have fun, and I was so thankful for that.  His team literally didn't know how to run around the bases when the season began so there was a LOT of room for improvement.  And improve they did!  By the end of the season most of the boys were hitting the ball without a tee (they get three pitches without a tee, and then if they don't connect, they get to hit off the tee), fielding the ball, and getting people out!  And Spencer was right in the thick of it.  He loved having teammates.
It was so wonderful having my dad home during his t-ball season.  He practiced with him frequently and was great about teaching him basic, important techniques.  We had an incentive chart to see how many catches he could make, and he loved having grandpa work with him.  He improved so quickly.

Way to go, Spencer!
