I need to mention, too, that Kylene climbed almost halfway up the dune completely by herself! Way to go, sweetheart!

June and Family

Wait a second! Is June really half over? Where did it go?

June started off with a bang. My brother & sis-in-law, Glen and Kathryn, and their little guy, Kaden, came to visit from Houston. A few days later my sister, Alyson, flew in from Denver. She left all six of her kids and her hubby home for five days for the first time ever! Way to go, Alyson! Anyway, we wore out I-5 between here and Wilsonville, but had a great time being together. We spent a day at a local farm (with lots of kid stuff to do, nature trail, etc.), a day at our family's favorite beach, Pacific City, and enjoyed lots of time at my parent's house in Wilsonville. Alyson motivated us all to scrapbook (the main motivation behind her trip), so I actually did some regular scrapbooking for the first time in forever! Thankfully, it got me working on Spencer's baby album. I know, he's only two! But at least I have the monthly journaling I have done with each of my kids. One of the evenings we also had a fun "birthday bash" at the church and played some kickball and human foosball (very fun if you've never tried it). It was a tiring week but a lot of fun. (Hopefully I'll have some more pictures when I get them from my dad; I only took a few at the beach.)

The rest of the month has been trying to catch up from basically be gone for a week. Spencer had a fever for a couple of days as well. But I can definitely tell summer is upon us: it seems like there's way more to do than you can ever get done. Oh, wait, that's all the time!

Another "project" I did was make two baby slings for Beth. She found this darling jersey knit fabric, so I told her I would give it a shot. I think they turned out cute. I just hope her baby enjoys being in them as much as Skyler did. Here is Skyler trying it out (I had to make sure they worked, after all!) :)
